Dr. Krigman is a Professor of Finance at Babson with expertise in corporate finance and investment banking. Caroline Hayes specializes in career development and job search strategies for undergraduate students interested in the Financial Services industry. We will discuss careers and what it is like to work in corporate finance. We will also provide insomnia cookies!

The Big Short employs vivid and humorous ways to illustrate and define complex financial instruments and tools to help promote financial literacy, build a community, and demonstrate the fragility of the financial world.

The BFA hosted David Allely, CFO of Rossignol Group. Dave is a Babson Alum who works as the chief financial officer of Rossignol Group, a French ski and ski apparel company with US headquarters in Park City, Utah. Prior to joining Rossignol, Dave worked at Deloitte and Fischer Sports. At this event, Dave discussed his journey from professional services to skiing. This event was a great opportunity to learn about how to intertwine your passions with a career in finance.

2021 BFA Virtual Forum

BFA's 1st annual forum brought together students and alumni for a discussion on various aspects of the financial industry. It included leading professionals from a wide range of firms.  Headlined by a keynote from Chris McMahon, Head of Global M&A at Baird, and a later keynote from Kate Jaspon, CFO of Dunkin'. This forum also featured a Private Equity panel and an Asset Management panel.

During the BFA's annual Networking 101 Workshop, students learn about the process of finding, contacting, and speaking with investment banking professionals to build relationships and gain knowledge. Other important topics include: cold calling, cold emailing, networking on LinkedIn, and more.

Technical Interview Prep

During the Technical Interview Prep Workshop, students learn key finance concepts including, but not limited to: accounting, finance, valuation, stocks, bonds, interest rates, currencies, options and derivatives, mergers and acquisitions, and brain teasers. This workshop is typically held in the fall to prepare students for their early round interviews.

IB Jeopardy

Investment Banking Jeopardy is one of the BFA's most popular events. Student-teams compete to answer advanced finance/investment banking questions for the chance to win a number of  exciting prizes. This event is typically held in the spring as a fun way for students to prepare for their final round investment banking interviews.
